Authorities seized various contraband at the Quezon City Jail during another surprise inspection dubbed as Oplan Greyhound.
According to a report on GMA News TV's News to Go, items found include knives made of wood, a number of pipe, spoon and fork, and nails.
Mirrors used for surveillance were also confiscated. Scissors, equipment used for tattooing and ballpens used as a tooter for shabu were also seized.
However, no illegal drugs were found inside the jails.
Meanwhile, congestion inside the Quezon City Jail remains a main problem as it currently houses at least 3,000 inmates when it can only accommodate 800 inmates. — Marlly Rome Bondoc/RSJ, GMA News
