Quiapo computer shop patron assaults 17-year-old
An allegedly drunk customer attacked and pummeled another shop patron, a 17-year-old boy, during an altercation at a computer shop in Manila's Quiapo district, GMA 7 news program "24 Oras Weekend" reported on Sunday.
Not satisfied with just using his fists, the customer took a chair and smashed it over the 17-year-old's back.
Before the attack, the victim had asked the other shop customers to quiet down. The man took offense, and started beating him.
"Nagpaliwanag naman ako tapos nag-sorry pa ako sa kanya," the victim said.
"'Yung paghampas ng upuan sa likod ko, parang may naramdaman ako na masakit. Na-trauma ako dun," he added.
The suspect had also allegedly threatened to kill him should their paths cross again.
The victim, firm in his decision to file cases, suggested that the suspect should surrender himself to authorities.
"Sumuko na siya sa kapulisan para maparusahan na," he said. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/DVM, GMA News
