The Philippine National Police have arrested all five suspects in the killing of a female victim, whose body was dumped along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) in Cabuyao, Laguna.

The first suspect to be arrested was Alfred "JR" Torres Jr., who admitted to killing the victim - his live-in partner Chrissalyn "Isay" Lizardo.

Torres claimed that he and the Lizardo got into an argument, which allegedly ended in the victim being accidentally being shot in the face.

"Patawarin po sana, pasensiya na po. Hindi ko po sinasadya 'yung nangyari. Mahal na mahal ko po 'yun. Hindi ko man po sinasadya talaga 'yun, sir," JR said.

Torres identified four of his accomplices: Melvin Astordia, Russel Torres, Buboy Phi, and Danilo Flores.

Astoria, Torres, and Phil surrendered to the Pasay City police force on Monday night and admitted their role in the murder. However, they claimed that Torres threatened them if they did not help him kill Lizardo.

Meanwhile, GMA 7 news program "24 Oras" reported that the fifth suspect, Flores, was under police custody on Tuesday evening.

Lizardo was last seen alive on CCTV footage taken late November. She was seen walking towards Torres' home in Barangay 186, Pasay City.

A few days later, the four other suspects were seen making their way towards Torres' house.

Investigators said the suspects loaded Isay's corpse into a vehicle as they planned to bury her in Laguna.

But they had car trouble along the SLEX, and the suspects were seen on highway CCTV pushing the car to a gas station near Laguna.

Lizardo's decomposing corpse was found last December 2.

Meanwhile, Lizardo's family were grief-stricken over their loved-one's murder.

"Pinatay na, tinapon pa. Napakasakit. Parang hindi tao ang anak ko. Ginawa nilang baboy," father, Ronald Lizardo lamented. — Margaret Claire Layug/DVM, GMA News
