Missing QC kid found safe in Valenzuela City
Daniel Silvestre Sajoyas, the seven-year-old kid reported missing by his siblings two weeks ago, has been found, GMA News' Dano Tingcungco reported on 24 Oras on Tuesday.
Daniel disappeared from their house in Tandang Sora, Quezon City, on the night of December 6 while his siblings Yves and James were sleeping. At the time, their parents were in Samar, their home province.
Yves and James asked for help in finding Daniel through printouts and posts on social media. They also filed a report with the Quezon City Police District Station 3.
A person who saw the posts on Facebook informed the siblings that Daniel was spotted in Pasolo, Valenzuela City.
Daniel was eventually found at the Bahay Kalinga in Valenzuela City where he was taken after he was found wandering around the city. It was not yet clear how he ended up in Valenzuela.
Yves said they were pulling from their savings in their efforts to find Daniel.
"Sobra-sobra na po kasi 'yung nagagastos ko, wala na nga kaming pera sa paghahanap ng kapatid namin," she said.
The report said out of the 32 missing person reports the QCPD received in 2016, only nine were found while one was found dead. For 2017, four of 17 persons reported missing were found.
Police encouraged persons with missing relatives to report it to the local police or place their names in PeopleSearch, an online database of missing persons.
Bahay Kalinga also encouraged families whose children are missing to call them at (02) 211-6584 as some children may be unable to recall the names of their parents or their address. —Rie Takumi/KBK, GMA News
