Two people were killed and two others were wounded on Thursday night when Mandaluyong City watchmen and police officers allegedly opened fire on a vehicle they thought was a getaway car.

One of the victims, Jonalyn Ambaan, was attempting to intervene in an argument when she was shot by an LPG delivery man.

Her companions put Ambaan in a vehicle and attempted to rush the victim to the hospital.

However, barangay watchmen mistakenly thought that the suspect who shot Ambaan was in the vehicle and was attempting to get away, so they shot at the vehicle.

Ambaan and companion Jomar Hayawon were killed.

Ten police officers have been placed under police custody.

Malacañang said the incident will be investigated—KG, GMA News
