1,000 passengers offloaded, forced to walk on train tracks as MRT3 wheel skids
Around 1,000 passengers of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 had to be offloaded Friday afternoon after a southbound train experienced a case of "wheel slipping or skidding."
An advisory from the Department of Transportation said the entire train unloaded its passengers at the Santolan Station at 4:40 p.m., according to a tweet by Super Radyo dzBB's Rowena Salvacion.

The train that fetched the unloaded passengers arrived seven minutes after the offloading incident, it added.
"Flat spots" on the wheel caused the slipping or skidding, which could be remedied by "preventive maintenance and replacement of wheelset components."
A report Super Radyo dzBB said the ailing train line has only eight running trains as of past 5 p.m.
