MMDA enforcers caught violating traffic regulations
At least two employees of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) were caught on tape violating several traffic regulations.
In a report on GMA's "24 Oras Weekend" on Sunday, two MMDA traffic enforcers were caught riding a motorcycle with a muffler pipe and without any side mirrors—both violations of traffic regulations.
One of the enforcers has already been identified and has been ordered to report directly to MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim.
Meanwhile, another video showed a man wearing the MMDA uniform parked in the pedestrian lane along Ortigas Avenue.
The agency is still determining whether the individual is indeed an MMDA employee, but spokesperson Celine Pialogo said the MMDA is serious in cleaning its ranks, as it appealed to the public to report any violations.
"Seryoso ho si Chairman Lim sa paglilinis ho ng sarili naming bakuran," she said.
"Doon sa ating mga citizens, netizens na nasa kalsada, tulungan niyo ho kaming disiplinahin 'yung mga enforcers natin through those videos," she added.
