A stall owner was shot dead by armed men inside a shopping mall in Divisoria, Manila on Saturday afternoon.
Police identified the victim as 60-year-old Edilberto Pornosis. He died due to a gunshot wound in the face.
The victim's wife, meanwhile, was injured in the shooting incident that happened before 2 p.m. inside 999 Mall's Building 2 in Divisoria.
The building has been temporarily closed. The mall's Building 2 is still open.
A witness interviewed by dzBB earlier said that the shooting victim was a foreigner. He said he saw at least three shooters.
Manila Police District spokesperson Superintendent Erwin Margarejo said that based on the police's review of CCTV camera footage installed around the mall, there was only one shooter.
Several shoppers, meanwhile, failed to immediately leave the building because of the establishment's immediate closure right after the shooting.
