3 Tondo cops linked to shooting of 13-year-old, sacked

The police officers from the Manila Police District (MPD) in Vitas, Tondo were dismissed from service, according to a report on GMA News TV Live.

The said police officers were on-duty at the time 13-year-old Aldrin Pineda, who was just playing outside his house, was shot dead.

The victim's playmate said the shooter was wearing a white T-shirt and pants used by police officers.

The MPD Directorial Staff chief said the police officers will remain at the MPD administrative holding unit. They were also told to surrender their firearms as they will also undergo ballistic examination.
