Dogs die in apartment fire in Caloocan
Several dogs died Wednesday evening in a fire that burned down three apartment units in Barangay 159, Caloocan City, according to a report on Unang Balita by Victoria Tulad on Thursday.
Myrna Doculara was unable to save her dogs from the fire that harmed no resident after they ran to her room and the flames barred her entry to their home.
The fire spread too quickly for Vicky Resurrecion and some other residents to grab their belongings, while their neighbors quickly grabbed their possessions in case the fire spread to their homes.
Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Chief of Operations Senior Inspector Marck Christopher Pila said the fire did not reach the other homes as they were made of concrete and had firewalls.
Authorities are still determining what caused the fire.
Property damage was estimated to reach P150,000. —Rie Takumi/KG, GMA News
