Jeron Teng, Norbert Torres, Thomas Torres hurt in BGC brawl


Philippine Basketball Association's Jeron Teng and companions Norbert Torres and Thomas Torres were hurt in a stabbing incident during a brawl early Sunday morning in Taguig City.

According to a report from the city's Police Community Precinct 7, the basketball stars were walking near Early Night Club at the Fort Strip in Bonifacio Global City when a group of suspects called out to Teng's group.  There was a confrontation and that resulted in a heated argument.

A Super Radyo dzBB report said that the brawl ended in stabbing incident.

Authorities have already arrested the suspects who were identified as Edmar Manalo, 40 and Willard Basili, 37.

According to the police report, the victims were punched and stabbed using a ring knife that was not recovered.

The victims were rushed to St. Lukes BGC for medication.

Frustrated Homicide and Less Serious Physical Injuries will be filed against the suspects. —Erwin Colcol/LBG/LA, GMA News
