Motorists were advised by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority to take alternate routes as Otis Bridge in Paco, Manila was closed to traffic on Tuesday.

The bridge was closed past 12 a.m. to all types of vehicles, especially trucks, according to a report on Unang Balita.

Cracks running about 20 feet in length and almost a foot in width were seen in the middle part of the bridge.

Three families living under the bridge were asked to leave due to the threat of bridge collapse.
