Demolition of houses along Estero de Magdalena in Tondo, Manila starts

The demolition of houses along Estero de Magdalena in Tondo, Manila has started on Tuesday.

According to a Balitanghali report by Oscar Oida, around 40 families will be relocated to Trece Martires, Cavite today. Sixty families will also be relocated next week.

The relocation of families will be weekly, the report said.

Authorities said it may take three months to relocate all 1,000 families.

After the relocation of residents, authorities will immediately conduct rehabilitation in the area.
