Iglesia ni Cristo's 'Lingap' event going smoothly —Eleazar
Iglesia ni Cristo's "Lingap Laban sa Kahirapan" has been going on smoothly eight hours into the public-service event on Sunday along Roxas Boulevard.
Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar, director of the National Capital Region Police Office, told Super Radyo dzBB that no untoward incident was reported as of 3 p.m. of the event that started 8 a.m. and is expected to end at 10 p.m.
Iglesia's whole-day event includes feeding program, medical mission and various public-service activities, he added.
Also, he said that security measures have been in place for the event that was joined by at least 100,000 members as of 3 p.m.
—LBG, GMA News
