Flooded areas in Metro Manila on August 11, 2018


Some areas in Metro Manila were flooded on Saturday as rains from the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) enhanced by Tropical Storm Karding poured.

According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and local government units, the following areas were flooded:

  • R. Papa LRT Station Caloocan side: 19 inches, not passable to light vehicles
  • C. Arellano: 5-6 inches: passable to all types of vehicles
  • Dampalit corner Merville: 5-8 inches; passable to all types of vehicles
  • Dampalit-Doña Juana Rodriguez: 10 inches; passable to all types of vehicles
  • Roxas Boulevard-Pedro Gil southbound: gutter deep as of 9:45 a.m.; passable for all vehicles
  • Quirino Pedro Gil NB: above gutter deep as of 2:30 p.m.; passable for all vehicles
  • Quirino-Plaza Dilao northbound: above gutter deep as of 2:30 p.m.; passable for all vehicles
  • Avenida extension (R. Papa Street Manila side): 5-8 inches; passable to all types of vehicles
  • EDSA Tramo southbound: 8 inches; passable for all vehicles
  • Mindanao Avenue-Road 16 southbound: gutter deep as of 2:30 p.m.; passable for all vehicles
  • A. Bonifacio Balintawak: gutter deep as of 2:30 p.m.; passable for all vehicles
  • Commonwealth Avenue-Tandang Sora eastbound: gutter deep as of 2:30 p.m.; passable for all vehicles
  • Commonwealth Philcoa: Gutter deep as of 2:30 p.m.; passable for all vehicles
  • N.S. Amoranto corner G. Araneta, Quezon City: not passable as of 1 p.m.
  • Tandang Sora cor. Philand: gutter deep, 0.3 meters as of 1 p.m.; passable
  • Araneta Avenue Talayan: as of 2:30 p.m. not passable to all types of vehicles
  • Araneta Avenue Victory: knee deep as of 2:30 p.m.; not passable for light vehicles
  • Quezon Avenue Biak na Bato: 10 inches as of 2:30 p.m.; passable for all vehicles
  • Commonwealth Doña Carmen WB: knee deep as of 2:30 p.m.; not passable for light vehicles
  • Aurora Boulevard cor. 15th Avenue and Harvard: gutter deep, 0.3 meters as of 1 p.m.; passable
  • Elliptical Road: gutter deep, 0.3 meters as of 1 p.m.; passable
