PNP aerial inspection bares extent of flooding in Marikina

The Philippine National Police on Monday conducted an aerial inspection of the flooded areas in Marikina City.

According to a report on News TV Live, PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde and NCRPO director Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar led the inspection in a helicopter.

More than 20,000 families are still in Marikina's evacuation centers due to flooding caused by heavy rains over the weekend.

Tropical storm Karding enhanced the Southwest Monsoon, which in turn caused the downpour over the past couple of days.

Over 2,000 police officers are involved in search-and-rescue operations in Luzon. —NB, GMA News
