Three hurt in Taytay accident involving cement mixer truck, car

A cement mixer truck and a car figured in an accident in Taytay, Rizal on Sunday morning, injuring three people.

The accident occurred in Palmera 2, Barangay Dolores at 4:30 a.m., according to a report by Jonathan Andal on Super Radyo dzBB.

According to Edgardo Cajes, the driver of the mixer truck, he was driving slowly going down a curved part of the road when a car from the opposite lane veered into his lane.

He maneuvered the truck to avoid the vehicle but the mixer got detached and the truck fell on its side. The car was heavily damaged.

The driver of the car was brought to the hospital as he complained of neck pain.

Meanwhile, the driver of the mixer truck and his companion only had minor wounds and did not ask to be brought to the hospital.

Traffic became heavy in the area due to the accident.
