DepEd probes QC school for barring late students from entering premises

The Department of Education (DepEd) is investigating an incident in a certain school in Quezon City where late students were reportedly barred from entering school premises.

According to a Balitanghali report on Wednesday, Education Secretary Leonor Briones said there is no policy on prohibiting late students from entering the school. 

This came after students from a school in Veterans Village were reportedly barred from entering the gate because they were already late.

Briones said the department has received complaint about the incident and will release an official statement once the investigation is finished. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA News
