Isko Moreno resigns as DSWD usec, will seek Manila's top elective post in 2019

Ex-Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno has resigned as Social Welfare undersecretary to run as mayor of Manila.

At a press conference on Friday, Moreno admitted he is like David going up against Goliaths, but stressed that is is high time young people of Manila lead the city in order to regain its luster.

Moreno said she resigned on Thursday.

Manila Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna is seeking re-election in next year's polls.

Both Moreno and Lacuna are running under the Asenso Manileño party.
