Crowds at bus terminals in Cubao still normal 4 days before Undas

The number of passengers at bus terminals in Cubao, Quezon City remained normal on Saturday morning, with authorities expecting heavy influx of province-bound travelers early next week for the Undas exodus.

Quoting terminal authorities, a "Balitanghali" report said most of the passengers seen at Cubao bus stations on Saturday morning were headed for Eastern Visayas and the Bicol region.

On normal days, the number of passengers at the terminals would be about 2,000 daily. But for holidays, especially two days or a day before Undas (All Souls' Day), the number could swell to 3,000 or more per day, a dispatcher was quoted as saying.

Authorities at the Bus Port in Cubao expect some 3,000 to 3,500 passengers on October 31.

But some travelers have decided to go ahead of others, booking their tickets three days before Undas.

Police have also begun to tighten security at the terminals for the Undas exodus.

On the other hand, bus companies have issued the following fare guide for traveling children:

  • children three feet below - free
  • Children 3.1 to 3.3 feet  - 50% fare discount
