Three NAIA runways undergo maintenance work


Some runways of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) were closed on Monday for maintenance work.

According to a report on GMA News' Unang Balita on Monday by Cecille Villarosa, maintenance work will be done almost every day to ensure the runways will smoothly cater to international and domestic flights.

The following runways are undergoing maintenance work:

  • Runway 13
  • Runway 31
  • Runway 0624

 

Airport officials clarified that it has started maintenance work on Runway 0624 at Terminal 1 during the period when no international flights will be affected.

The runways will be closed between 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. from November 12 to 17 and from November 20 to 22.

Airline companies Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific have released an advisory as regards flights which will be affected by the runway closure.

Some passengers already rebooked their flights.
