Fire hits residential area in Barangay Bahay Toro

Four houses were razed at the GSIS Village in Barangay Bahay Toro in Quezon City early Tuesday morning, James Agustin reported.

The houses were partly made of wood and three of these were rented out.

The owner said they were awakened by their tenants and they tried to douse the fire.

A few minutes before 3 a.m., officials declared the fire under second alarm.

The Bureau of Fire Protection is investigating the incident and the total cost of damage to the property and items destroyed in the fire.

This is the second fire incident in the village as many weeks. A fire hit the same barangay on Oct. 29 along Record Street, which affected 10 families. — BAP, GMA News
