MPD deploys SWAT personnel on third day of Bar exams at UST

On the third of the four Sundays of the Bar Exams, the Manila Police District put up a command post and deployed its SWAT personnel in the vicinity of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) to ensure the safety and security around the area.

In a tweet posted by the Supreme Court's PIO on Sunday, photos show police personnel at their command posts along a stretch of España Boulevard in Manila, fronting the UST campus. Other police personnel were also seen with their patrol vehicles in the area.

Two weeks ago, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Regional Director Guillermo Eleazar announced the deployment of 434 police officers and personnel to secure UST for the Bar exams and to maintain order around the university complex.

For this Sunday, Bar takers will take the test on Mercantile Law from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, and Criminal Law from 2 p.m. to 6pm.

Next Sunday, they will take the examination on Remedial Law, Legal and Judicial Ethics, and Practical Exercises. —Joviland Rita/LBG, GMA News
