Families brave long queues to spend Christmas with loved ones in QC jail

The queue of relatives and friends visiting inmates of the Quezon City Jail covered at least a block of the area on Christmas Day, according to a report by Glen Juego on GMA Super Radyo dzBB.

Visiting hours of the Quezon City Jail in Kamuning will last only until 5:00 p.m., but the report said that as of 3 p.m., the line of people was was still long, reaching the nearby Ramon Magsaysay High School in Cubao.

Contributing to the long waiting time were the strict security measures imposed by jail authorities. 

A thorough inspection of the food and materials brought inside the jail was conducted to ensure that no prohibited items would slip in. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/ LDF, GMA News
