Kagawad shot dead in Sta. Cruz, Manila

A barangay kagawad was shot dead Tuesday afternoon in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

On Emil Sumangil's report for GMA News TV's "Quick Response Team" on Wednesday, the victim was identified as Alfredo Hicana, a kagawad of Barangay 356.

An unidentified gunman reportedly approached Hicana at a store in Sta. Cruz and opened fire.

On CCTV, the shooter was seen getting off a motorcycle driven by a cohort and making his way to the store.

Only 10 seconds later, the shooter is seen running back and getting on the motorcycle, which speeds away.

As the investigation continues, police said surveillance cameras caught the gunman's face. — Margaret Claire Layug/BM, GMA News
