Student arrested for possession of suspected marijuana leaves

A Grade 11 student, who was visiting his jailed friend, ended up joining his friend after police found suspected marijuana leaves in his possession, according to the report of Vonne Aquino on Unang Balita.

The police found suspected marijuana leaves inside a folded piece of paper inside the wallet of 18-year-old Justine Ramos when he was frisked at the Sampaloc Police Station.

Ramos did not deny that the suspected marijuana leaves were found in his possession but he said that it has been a month since he used illegal drugs.

"Pinahawak lang po talaga sa akin yun ng barakada ko na hindi ko po talaga alam na dadalaw po kami dito. Kaya nadala ko po sa bulsa ko. Hindi ko po talaga gustong ipasok sa loob ng jail," Ramos said.

It can be recalled that last Tuesday, a Senior High School student was arrested for possession of suspected marijuana leaves.

The police are conducting an investigation to determine the students' source of marijuana leaves. — BAP, GMA News
