One hurt as fire hits apartment units in Sampaloc
One person was hurt after fire broke out and gutted three apartment units in Sampaloc, Manila before dawn Saturday.
The injured person was brought to the hospital before firemen arrived, according to a report by Cecille Villarosa on GMA News TV's Balitanghali Weekend.
Residents were asleep when the fire started before 4 a.m. at the apartment unit being occupied by the Ong family.
A loud explosion was heard before fire broke out, residents said.
Three other houses at the back of the apartment units were also slightly damaged by the fire.
Parts of the wall collapsed, damaging a car parked outside.

The fire reached the first alarm and went on for almost an hour before it was put out at 4:45 a.m.
The Bureau of Fire Protection has started investigating the cause of the fire. —KG, GMA News
