CITF members nab wanted cop in Pasig City

Police counter-intelligence task force operatives nabbed before dawn Saturday in Pasig City a policeman wanted for robbery extortion.

Super Radyo dzBB's Jonathan Andal reported that CITF operatives, armed with an arrest warrant, arrested Corporal Edgar Santos at about 1:30 a.m. at the Eastern Police District headquarters.

Quoting PNP-CITF commander Colonel Romeo Caramat, the report said Santos  was with EPD roving patrol when arrested.

Santos had been wanted for robbery-extortion for extorting P100,000 from his victim in Marikina on December 10, 2018.

He is now being held at the CITF headquarters for further police processing. —LBG, GMA News
