PDEA seizes P6.8 M-worth of high-grade shabu in Tondo buy-bust ops

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Monday seized P6.8 million worth of high-grade shabu in a buy-bust operation in Tondo, Manila.

According to a report in GMA News TV Live, around a kilo of illegal drugs were recovered from suspect Jerome Timoteo.

The operatives said they received a tip from an informant regarding the illegal transactions allegedly conducted by the suspect.

Timoteo has connections inside the New Bilibid Prison and other penal colonies in the country, according to authorities.

The suspect admitted that he is involved in the illegal drug trade. He said that he became a drug pusher because of poverty. — Dona Magsino/BAP, GMA News
