Concessionaire Manila Water installed static water tanks in some barangays in Pasig and Mandaluyong amid the continuing water shortage.

According to a report by Bernadette Reyes on GMA News TV's Balitanghali Weekend on Sunday, each storage tank contains 10,000 liters of water. Due to its limited capacity to meet all the water demands, trucks have to deliver regular refills.

Meanwhile, in Barangay Bagong Ilog in Pasig, Manila Water also provided rationed water to residents.

Water supply is already available in the lower areas of the said barangay but the water pressure is still low.

On the other hand, some deep wells in Rodriguez, Rizal are being utilized as alternative water sources.

Manila Water said its water interruption schedule is being met but advised that its customers in elevated areas may experience some delays in the service. —Dona Magsino/KG, GMA News
