Cops nab Chinese for 'molesting' 17-year-old girl in Pasay City

Pasay City cops arrested Saturday a Chinese for allegedly molesting a 17-year-old girl in Pasay City.

GMA News' Vonne Aquino reported on GMA News TV's Balitanghali Weekend on Saturday that the sexual assault incident took place at a condominium lobby.

Police investigators said that when the apparently drunk suspect crossed paths with the girl at the lobby, he suddenly grabbed the victim's breasts.

Police Colonel Bernard Yang, acting Pasay City Police chief, said: "Nakasalubong ata noong batang babae 'yung Chinese na lasing at doon na nangyari 'yung panghihipo niya."

"Talagang kitang-kita natin halos matumba na itong Chinese national na ito. Talagang lasing na lasing na 'yung mama," Yang added.

According to the victim's father, his daughter cried due to "trauma" from the incident.

The Chinese refused to give his full name, only identifying himself as "Mr. Tai," who will possibly face charges of "acts of lasciviousness in relation to child abuse."

Yang also said the Chinese may also face alarm and scandal suit for causing commotion at the condominium.

Authorities have confiscated the suspect's travel documents.  —Kaela Malig/LBG/KG, GMA News
