Residents of Barangay Teachers Village East in Quezon City have been trying to cope with having almost no water service for the past three months, according to a report on GMA News' Unang Balita by James Agustin.

During the hours there is water service, however, the pressure is low.

At the barangay hall, there has been no water service for the past four days. Personnel have stored water in drums for use in the restroom.

Manila Water, the company providing water in the barangay, has previously announced the schedules of water service interruption in the area, but these are not usually followed, residents said.

The company has placed a water tank outside the barangay hall so residents and business establishments can get some water for their needs 24/7.

Business establishments, among them restaurants and bakeries, line Maginhawa Street which is part of the barangay. Their personnel also line up along with residents to get water from the tank outside the barangay hall.

Manila Water said it will have its technical teams check the barangay, since there should be water service at certain hours.

The company's water allocation for customers has been reduced since March after Angat Dam's water levels have gone down.
