Fire breaks out in Sampaloc, Manila
Fire broke out in a residential area in Sampaloc, Manila past 11 p.m. on Saturday, according to a report by Luisito Santos on Super Radyo dzBB.
The fire engulfed six houses on Sto. Tomas corner Josefina Streets.

Firemen were able to put the fire under control at 12:18 a.m. on Sunday after it reached the second alarm.

The fire was finally put out at 12:49 a.m.

One resident was injured in the fire.

He was identified as Abe Balane, 67, whose hand was injured after he broke a window to escape the burning house, according to a report by Cecille Villarosa on GMA News' 24 Oras on Sunday.
Two vehicles were also burned in the fire.

The Bureau of Fire Protection said damage to property was estimated to reach P300,000, according to a report on GMA News' Unang Balita on Monday.
Authorities are still investigating the fire incident. —KG, GMA News
