Mayor Isko visits, gives P100K to centenarians in Manila

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno on Thursday night visited and personally handed P100,000 checks to some of the city's centenarian residents.

In one of his live-streamed videos, Moreno knocked at the gate and was warmly welcomed by the family of 100-year-old Constantino Feliza Romero.

"Kumusta po kayo? Inabot po kayo ng 100 years! Alam niyo ba na may ibibigay sa inyo ang pamahalaang lungsod na regalo?" the mayor said to Romero.

He handed a check to the centenarian who was in bed. The grandmother was all smiles during their encounter.

"Pwede na agad ito i-cash 'Nay. Pambili mo ng vitamins saka bagong bestida," Moreno said.

The beneficiaries whom he visited were very grateful for the assistance they received from the local government. — BAP, GMA News
