No LRT2 trips on Friday, October 4, 2019 — management

The LRT2 will not run on Friday due to several technical and safety concerns, according to the Light Rail Transit Authority on Thursday.

The LRT management did not say when operations will resume.

There are 11 stations on the LRT2 line, from Recto Station in Manila to Santolan Station in Marikina.

In a previous statement, the LRT management suspended the operations of LRT2 for the whole of Thursday after a fire broke out between Katipunan and Anonas station that affected its power supply.

"The fire that was seen along the carriageway between Anonas & Katipunan stations was caused by the tripping off of Rectifier Substation (RSS) 5 located at Katipunan station," the management said.
