PNR train runs over, injures 74-year-old woman

A 74-year-old woman was run over by a Philippine National Railways (PNR) train in Vito Cruz, Manila, according to a Sunday report on 24 Oras Weekend.

Victim Delia Cercado was attempting to cross the PNR tracks as a traffic marshal frantically signaled her to stop because of an incoming train.

Cercado did stop but was standing too close to the tracks.

The traffic marshal attempted to get her to step back, but it was too late.

The train smashed into Cercado and stopped a few moments after the collision.
