Manila gov’t repaves road allegedly damaged by Skyway project

The city government of Manila repaved sections of Quirino Avenue and Pedro Gil Street which were allegedly damaged due to the Skyway construction project, according to Jonathan Andal's Monday report on Balitanghali.

Mayor Isko Moreno said that the city government had spoken with the Skyway project's management about the damage two weeks earlier, and received no response from the management.

“‘Di naman pupuwedeng ganon. Maghihintayan na lang kami 'tas magsasakripisyo ang taumbayan,” Moreno said.

“They are all welcome here. We want development but they have to work hand in hand,” he added.

While the city government of Manila would initially shoulder the road repair expenses, the Skyway management would eventually have to reimburse them for the expense. — Joviland Rita/DVM, GMA News
