Water supply problem in NCR may persist until dry season —PAGASA
Metro Manila's water supply problem could continue until the dry season in 2020, state-run weather Bureau PAGASA said Thursday, as the expected rainfall till end of 2019 may not be enough to stabilize the water level in Angat Dam, the source of nearly 100 percent of the National Capital Region's water needs.
Citing data from PAGASA, Unang Balita reported that the expected rainfall until December is not enough fill up the reservoir in Bulacan to its full capacity.
Also, PAGASA expressed fears that the water level in the dam will continue to drop by end-January 2020.
Concerned government agencies have continued to build water-treatment facilities to mitigate the looming water supply shortage, the report said. —LBG, GMA News
