17 hurt in NLEX multi-vehicle mishap

At least 17 people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) southbound near the Sta. Rita exit, GMA News' James Agustin reported.

The accident occurred late Thursday evening.

A van, pickup, and an SUV were involved in the accident.

It was reported that the driver of the pick up and the SUV changed gears because of traffic congestion.

Out of the 22 passengers in the van, 17 including the driver were injured.

The PNP Malolos office is conducting an investigation and one of the possible causes is overloading. — BAP, GMA News
