Cops rescue 18 women during raids on prostitution dens in Makati

Police operatives rescued 18 women during a raid on two prostitution dens in Makati City on Thursday evening.

Unang Balita reported Friday that after confirming the target establishments as prostitution dens, authorities conducted the raid.

Police Colonel Rogelio Simon, Makati Ctiy police chief, told Unang Balita, “Doon sa kabila meron tayong na rescue na eleven lahat yung mga babae doon; at sa [isa naman] ay merong pito na na-rescue namin.”

The target establishments had “barracks” where the women stayed. There was also an area where the women could be paraded for customers to pick from.

A police asset posing as customer tipped the police on the prostitution activities of the establishments, Simon said. —LBG, GMA News
