The jeepney driver who was caught playing Mobile Legends while on the road has surfaced and surrendered his license to the Land Transportation Office.

The driver, who refused to be identified, said he was “traumatized” by the hate comments he received on social media.

He also asked the public for forgiveness, according to a Monday report on State of the Nation with Jessica Soho.

He claimed that he was playing a mobile game while driving to combat drowsiness.

The driver’s drug test results came out negative.

He may face charges for violation of the Anti-Distracted Driving Act.

—Julia Mari Ornedo/LDF, GMA News
