Hospital in QC to begin accepting COVID-19 patients starting Monday
A private hospital in Quezon City will begin accepting coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients starting April 6, Monday.
Fe del Mundo Medical Center has an initial 30 bed capacity, according to Saleema Refran's Thursday report on 24 Oras.
"Right now, we are preparing our hospital to admit the mild to moderate severe cases of COVID-positive patients," a hospital official said.
"But if we are going to have patients who are also PUIs but having moderate to severe symptoms, we're open to admit them also," she added.
The hospital management is also looking to increase its bed capacity.
Meanwhile, though prohibited under the enhanced community quarantine, some tricycle and habal-habal service operations continue along Luzon Avenue and Litex.
"Eh, walang pagkain, boss. Di kami makakain. Tama lang 'yan," a motorcycle driver said.
"Kaya lang ako bumabyahe panggatas [...] Walang dumadating sa amin," a tricycle driver, meanwhile, said.
The local government reiterated that transportation operations were prohibited and those caught will be arrested.
