Valenzuela reports new COVID-19 case, brings total to 40

The city government of Valenzuela on Friday reported one more coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patient, bringing the total confirmed cases in the city to 40.

According to the local government, the patient is a 41-year-old female who is a medical frontliner.

No other details were provided.

As of Friday, the city has recorded a total of four fatalities and three recoveries from the virus.

Meanwhile, health authorities on Friday reported a total of 4,195 COVID-19 cases nationwide with 221 fatalities and 140 recoveries. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
