Victims of Wednesday's 4th alarm fire in Delpan, Tondo, Manila are currently staying inside modular tents at Jose Abad Santos gymnasium.

The gymnasium in Binondo serves as temporary evacuation center for the fire victims, keeping them safe amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat in the country.

According to Supt. Gerandie Agonos of the Bureau of Fire Protection Manila, over 40 families were left homeless after 20 houses were destroyed from the fire. The Manila Public Information office estimates the worth of damage at P100,000.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of fire. The BFP declared fire out at 11:30 a.m.

The fire took place as the country continues to fight against the spread of COVID-19.
