Valenzuela reports 20 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

The city government of Valenzuela on Tuesday reported 20 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the city’s total infection to 79.

This is the highest number of cases in a day reported by the city government since it started mass testing on April 11.

The city government said all patients have already been moved to Balai Banyuhay, Meaco Hotel and other hospitals for quarantine and medical intervention.

Aggressive contract tracing has also been conducted, the city government added.

Valenzuela has so far recorded a total of six fatalities and seven recoveries.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 reached 6,599 as of Tuesday, including 437 deaths and 654 recoveries. -NB, GMA News
