BFP to manage Filinvest quarantine facility for COVID-19 patients
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) was tasked to manage the We Heal as One Center - Filinvest Tent which will accommodate and provide medical care to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients.
A turnover ceremony was held on Wednesday wherein BFP chief Fire Director Jose Embang Jr. received the symbolic key to signify the bureau's acceptance of the responsibility for managing the 108-bed capacity healthcare facility.
According to the BFP, the facility will be manned by more or less 60 medical and allied professionals from the BFP. Fire Senior Superintendent Jose Edgar Balita will be the commander of the team.

The Department of Public Works and Highways accomplished the construction of the facility while the Office of Civil Defense will be on top of the logistics and other needs of the BFP medical team. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KG, GMA News
