Manila LGU offices to implement alternative work arrangement amid MECQ —Isko Moreno
Mayor Isko Moreno on Monday directed all offices under the local government of Manila City to implement an alternative work arrangement amid the modified enhanced community quarantine.
Under Executive No. 34, the city government has "to take proactive measures in protecting the health and well-being of its city officials and employees in order to ensure the unhampered protection and functioning of the city in delivering basic services and needs to its constituents."

Moreno said skeletal workforce must be observed in the following offices from August 4 to 18:
- Office of the Mayor
- Office of the Secretary to the Mayor
- Manila Public Information Office
- Office of the City Administrator
- City Personnel Office
- City Budget Office
- Office of the City Accountant
- City Treasurer's Office
- Department of Public Services, Op. Div. & Dist. Offs.
- Manila Barangay Bureau
- City General Services Office
- Department of Assessments
- Bureau of Permits
- Manila Hawkers Office
- Dept. of Engineering & Public Works Operations
- Public Recreations Bureau, Operations
- Parks Development Office, Operations
Meanwhile, the following offices would be in full operation except for their office-based employees:
- Manila Health Department, including North and South cemeteries
- All city hospitals, except Ospital ng Maynila
- Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office
- Manila Department of Social Welfare
- Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau
- Veterinary Inspection Board
- Market Administration Office
Moreno said other offices and departments should observe work from home arrangement, especially those with employees who are senior citizens, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, and below 21-years-old.
The national government decided to place again the National Capital Region and the provinces of Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal under MECQ starting August 4 to 18 after health workers had asked for Metro Manila to return to a stricter quarantine status for two weeks to give them time to rest and "recalibrate strategies" against COVID-19.—AOL, GMA News
