JRRMC to limit emergency room ops from August 19 to 26, 2020

Emergency room operations of the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRRMMC) will be limited for a week to give way to the disinfection of the emergency service complex amid the rising cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to a “24 Oras Weekend” report on Sunday, the Manila-based hospital will be on limited operations from August 19 to 26.

Non-COVID patients who are currently admitted at JRRMMC will be temporarily transferred to the Tondo Medical Center or another facility near the patient’s home.

COVID-19 patients in the emergency room will also be transferred to the Jose Rodriguez Medical Center in Caloocan.

The Philippines has recorded over 161,000 COVID-19 cases as of Sunday afternoon.
