34 nabbed for drinking, violating social distancing in Makati rooftop bar

Over 30 individuals were apprehended by the police after they were caught drinking in a rooftop bar in Makati City and violating social distancing protocols.

According to the Philippine National Police (PNP), there were 34 individuals apprehended, including several foreign nationals, who were caught driking and violating protocols on Friday night.

The report did not provide further details on the establishment.

PNP deputy chief for administration Police Lieutenant General Guillermo Eleazar, corresponding cases will be filed against those apprehended.

"Bawal po kasi itong mga bar at bawal pa rin itong mga beerhouse, pareho po 'yun, beerhouse siguro, eh parehong inuman. Baka nga may ka-table pa 'yung beerhouse. Lahat po 'yung puro bawal pa po sa ngayon 'yun," he said in a report on GMA's "24 Oras Weekend" on Sunday.

The report indicated that the individuals apprehended were later released.
