NCRPO: Over P4M worth of suspected shabu seized in Caloocan buy-bust operation
Police seized over P4 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City over the weekend, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said Monday.
Two drug suspects identified as Abdul Sulong, 33 and Taya Sulong, 65, were arrested during the operation in Villa Enrico Heights in Barangay 171 on October 3.
Police said Abdul, the target of the operation, was included in the drug watchlist. The anti-illegal drugs operation stemmed from the continuous monitoring and surveillance of suspected drug personalities in the area.
Authorities were able to recover seven pieces of transparent plastic bags of suspected shabu, weighing more or less 600 grams, worth P4,080,000; a silver digital weighing scale; a black shoulder bag; and some buy bust money from the suspects.
NCRPO chief Police Major General Debold Sinas praised the operatives who had successfully conducted the operation that led to the arrest of the drug suspects.
"I commend the successful anti-illegal drug operation conducted by Northern Police District, Caloocan City Police Station which led to the confiscation of more than P4-M worth of suspected illegal drugs and arrest of two drug personalities in Caloocan," Sinas said.
"I am elated for your unwavering effort and dedication to attain our vision of a safer Metro Manila for all,” he added. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
